Costumer, natural dyer, and material alchemist
Ashley is a Bay Area Costume Designer and Slow Fiber Artist. With a background in theatrical makeup and costuming she has a strong connection to performance and placing textiles in relationship to the body. In her slow fiber practice she works with natural dyes and material alchemy to use textiles as the foreground for new beings that are otherworldly, but also propose very real-life, slow fiber alternatives to the current fast fashion and textile industry.
